Thomas Alva Edison (born February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio) was an inventor and businessperson who was best known for developing many devices in fields such as an electric power generation, mass communication, sound recording, the light bulb, and motion pictures. Thomas died on October 18, 1931 and his death was because of complications of diabetes. He died at age 84.
