Jason William Mizell aka Jam Master Jay (born January 21, 1965 in New York City, New York) was a disc jockey and musician who was best known for being the DJ of the hip hop group, “Run-DMC.”Jason died on October 30, 2002 and his death was reportedly because he was shot and killed in his recording studio. He died young at age 37.
