Richard Allensworth Jewell (born December 17, 1962 in Danville, Virginia) was a notable person who was best known for alerting police during the Centennial Olympic Park bombing at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Richard died on August 29, 2007 and his death was because of diabetes. He was only 44.
