Robert John Downey (born June 24, 1936 in New York City, New York) was a filmmaker and film actor who was best known for directing the offbeat 1969 movie “Putney Swope.” Robert died on July 7, 2021 and his death was because of Parkinson’s disease. He died just two weeks after his 85th birthday.
