Tex Ritter (born January 12th, 1905 in Murvaul, Texas) was a Singer and film actor who was best known for playing singing cowboys in Western movies and for being the father of the late actor, John Ritter. Tex died on January 2, 1974 and his death was because of heart attack. He died quite soon at age 68 just ten days before his 69th birthday.
