Astrid Anna Emilia Lindgren (born November 14, 1907 in Vimmerby, Sweden) was a writer who was best known for writing several children’s books including “Pippi Longstocking,” “Emil of Lönneberga,” Karlsson-on-the-Roof,” and the Six Bullerby Children.” Astrid died on January 28, 2002 and his death was possibly because of old age. She died at age 94.
