Susan Atkins (born May 7th, 1948 in San Gabriel, California) was a Criminal who was best known as a member of the "Manson family", led by Charles Manson. She was called Sadie Mae Glutz within the Manson family and was convicted of murder. Susan died on September 24, 2009 and her death was possibly because of brain cancer but it was listed as "natural causes".

A devout Catholic, Atkins protested against her father's lack of religion, and after he was arrested for drunk driving, Atkins's mother took her to a Roman Catholic church. Atkins's first job was at a convent in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. She worked her way up the food service ladder, starting as a server and eventually working her way up to head cook. In 1978, Atkins worked at the Applebees restaurant in San Francisco, where she met Ronald Reagan. (V)"
