Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar (born October 19, 1910 in Lahore, Pakistan) was a Nobel laureate who was best known for formulating theories for the development that stars subsequently undergo. He, and William A. Fowler, shared the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1983. Subrahmanyan died on August 21, 1995 and his death was because of a heart attack. He died at age 84.
